Birthday Milestone/Princess Photo Session
I had been planning this birthday princess photo session for a year, ever since I gave my niece the unnamed, shoe-challenged, princess with a curfew costume for her 2nd birthday last year. She was obsessed with all things princess (and still is) so I wanted to give her a dress-up princess costume but it ended up being a little big so we started planning for the next year's birthday photos. The Cinderella-based princess costume fit her perfectly in time for her 3-year-old photos.

From ordinary 3-year-old...

...to pretty princess!
The Location
I also already knew the perfect location that would provide some fairy tale vibes for her 3-year-old birthday photo session. It had 2 fountains, walkways, and flowers around a small grass courtyard. It was just between the courthouse and library and the courthouse architecture and railings reminded me of a castle. It was a popular spot and we passed another little 3-year-old getting her birthday photo session there as we were leaving.

Becoming A Princess
It didn't take much for my niece to transform into the princess we know she is inside. We did a few photos in the Wild Flowers clothing brand floral dress her mom had picked out first but she knew why we were there and kept asking if it was time to put on the princess dress yet. Once she put on her Cinderella-style princess dress it was all twirls and laughter and just a little bit of magic.
