What a Senior Session is like with me as your photographer!
Congratulations on your accomplishments! Graduating is a huge deal and one of life’s greatest milestones. You’ve changed so much since you first started on your education journey and there is no better way to showcase all you’ve accomplished than with a photo session. I plan your senior session with you in mind through a session planning questionnaire specific for seniors! You are encouraged to incorporate into your session your hobbies, awards, extracurricular activities, and whatever else you’re into! I'll help you choose the locations and outfits that best represent you and who you are and we will have fun photographing the serious and the silly so that you have a variety of images to choose from in your gallery. It would be my honor to help you tell your story as you close this chapter of your life and start a new one!

A senior photo session is all about capturing your personality, passions, and accomplishments in a way that feels authentic to you.
Your session starts with a personalized planning process to make sure everything reflects your unique story. From selecting meaningful locations to choosing outfits that showcase your style, I’ll guide you every step of the way. You're encouraged to bring along items that highlight your hobbies, awards, or extracurricular activities—whether it’s your favorite instrument, sports gear, or anything else that represents who you are.
During your session, we’ll balance timeless, classic portraits with fun, candid moments that showcase your true personality so that your gallery includes a variety of images that truly capture your personality! The goal is to create photos that not only celebrate this milestone but also serve as a keepsake of this exciting time in your life.

How a Senior Photo Session Works
Your senior session is all about capturing who you are at this moment in your life. We’ll start by talking about what matters most to you. Whether it’s highlighting a sport, hobby, musical talent, or artwork, celebrating your achievements, or focusing on the places and memories that have defined your journey, your session will be uniquely tailored to reflect your story. Every detail is designed to create photos that genuinely represent you and everything you’ve accomplished.
Bonus
Every senior session includes a FREE cap-and-gown mini session closer to graduation! This is a perfect way to include professional cap and gown photos without the stress of fitting them into your main session. You’ll get to choose one cap-and-gown image to download for free, with the option to purchase additional photos if you’d like.
Have you considered a best friend's senior session?
It’s like a regular senior session but for you and your best friends! You can each get individual senior photos as well as photos together! You can even include friends who aren’t seniors yet. I offer discounts when friends book their sessions together so let me know if you and your besties are in!
What does it cost?
The senior session fee is $250 and image collections start at $750. You don't select your image collection until after you see all of the fully edited images in an online gallery. This way you only pay for the ones you love! My clients plan to spend a minimum of $1000+ on their session after the final images are selected. Don't forget that the FREE cap and gown mini is included in this price!

Senior Photo Session FAQ
When should we schedule senior photos?
Anytime the summer before up to the spring of graduation. Fall and Spring are popular times. What season do you like best? Plan your photos around what you love!
Do senior sessions include siblings or family?
Generally, no. However, if you would like to include a family photo or sibling photos as part of the senior session, let me know and we can plan to include whatever you need!
How many outfits can I bring?
More outfits mean more photos to choose from in your gallery. If you are only planning to purchase a few photos, then you will want to keep it to one outfit but if you know you will want lots of photos, then you’re welcome to bring 2-3 outfits. If you have questions about which outfits to choose, I’m happy to help!
Do we need to get professional hair and makeup done?
That's up to you! If that is something you like, then yes! This is the perfect excuse to pamper yourself. Even if you prefer a natural look, a professional can help make you look and feel your best for your photos. You should do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable!
How long does it take to get the edited photos back?
It depends on your session and how many locations and outfits you want to incorporate. Larger galleries will take more time but I would let you know if that were going to be the case. My typical turnaround time is 2-3 weeks.
I’m insecure about (acne, my hair, my size/shape, my teeth, etc.)
I get it. I’m the same way and I still struggle with those things! Let me know what your concerns are and we can work up a plan that makes you comfortable. That might include professional hair and makeup or the timing of your session. I also use or don’t use certain poses or prompts so as to minimize your insecurities and emphasize all your best qualities! I genuinely believe everyone is beautiful and it’s my job to help you see the beauty in yourself too.
Can I incorporate props like an instrument, car, balloons, confetti, or a champagne spray?
Yes, yes, and yes!! I’ve done photos with all of those and more! Whatever makes you, YOU, and shows off how you like to celebrate should definitely be included. Some locations have rules as to what is allowed and we will discuss the best way to get exactly what you want in our planning call.
How does a best friends senior session work?
Each senior will get individual photos as well as several group shots. We will plan your session to include plenty of time to capture you and your friends in your elements and interacting naturally with each other. Including a friend in your session helps both of you to relax and look and feel more natural in photos!
