Senior Portraits, Designed With Intention

Senior sessions are designed to capture who you are at this moment: confident, accomplished, and on the edge of what comes next. The focus is on creating portraits that feel authentic and elevated, reflecting both your personality and the significance of this milestone.

Each session begins with intentional planning. Locations and outfits are selected thoughtfully to ensure the final images feel cohesive and true to you. Meaningful details, like interests, achievements, or activities, can be incorporated in a natural way, without turning the session into a checklist.

During the session, you’ll be guided through a relaxed experience that balances timeless portraits with natural expression. The result is finished mages that feel both polished and personal, marking this season with clarity and confidence.

Why Senior Portraits Matter

Senior photos mark a turning point, one that deserves more than a rushed or trend-driven session. This is a season defined by growth, independence, and forward momentum, and the images created now become a visual record of who you were at the edge of what comes next.

Thoughtfully created senior portraits serve both a personal and practical purpose. They document this milestone with intention while also providing polished imagery suited for announcements, professional use, and keepsakes that will live beyond graduation.

These are images that feel confident, refined, and true to this moment, long after the cap and gown are put away. In short, these portraits are designed to last.

Planning your Senior Session

After booking, you’ll receive a detailed prep guide, a short planning questionnaire, and complimentary access to the Client Closet for women and girls. We’ll also schedule a relaxed consultation in your home to design a senior session that feels thoughtful, personalized, and beautifully cohesive.

We’ll discuss the images you’re most hoping for, locations, wardrobe, color palettes, and how you may want to display your finished images, so the session is created with the final result in mind from the very beginning.

Selecting Your Artwork

After the session, we’ll meet for a personalized ordering appointment where you’ll view your images and select the artwork and photographs that best fit your home and family.

Rather than navigating dozens of decisions alone, you’ll receive guidance in choosing favorite images, wall art, framed pieces, and keepsakes designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

What does it cost?

Senior photo sessions are reserved with a $300 session fee, which secures your date and includes the planning and design process leading up to your session.

Artwork and images are purchased separately during your personalized ordering appointment after the session.

Most clients choose to invest around $2400+ in custom artwork and photographs for their home.

Atlanta Senior Photo Session FAQ

When should we schedule senior photos?

Most senior sessions take place between the summer before senior year and the spring of graduation. Fall and spring tend to be the most requested seasons, though each time of year offers a distinct look.

The best timing depends on the look you’re drawn to and how you plan to use your images. Availability is limited, so booking early is recommended—particularly for fall sessions.

Do senior sessions include siblings or family?

Senior sessions are focused on the graduate and are designed as individual portrait experiences.

Sibling portraits may be included by request. Full family photos, however, are best planned as a separate family session, as they require a different pace, setup, and variety to be done well.

How many outfits should I plan for?

Most senior sessions are planned around two to three outfits, which allows for variety while keeping the session cohesive and well-paced.

Outfits are chosen intentionally to reflect your style and the overall look you’re drawn to, rather than changing frequently. Fewer, well-considered outfits tend to result in a stronger, more polished gallery.

Outfit guidance is provided during planning, and access to the Client Closet is available for seniors who would like to incorporate one of the curated pieces into their session.

Do you suggest professional hair and makeup services for the session?

Professional hair and makeup are optional. Some seniors choose to have them done, while others prefer to do their own styling and to keep things more natural.

The most important consideration is choosing an approach that feels comfortable and authentic to you. Whether professionally done or on your own, clean, well-prepared hair and makeup photograph best.

How long does it take to receive the edited photos?

Approximately one week after your session, we’ll meet for your ordering appointment where you’ll view your images and select the portraits and artwork you’d like to purchase.

Once your selections are finalized, your chosen images will be fully hand-edited and prepared for delivery. Digital images are typically ready within 2–3 weeks after the ordering appointment, while custom artwork may take a bit longer depending on the pieces selected.

This process allows each image to be carefully refined and beautifully finished, whether they’re being used for graduation announcements, framed artwork, or displayed throughout your home.

What if I'm feeling insecure about how I look?

That’s very common, and it’s something that’s approached thoughtfully during every session. Senior portraits are guided with intention, from posing and prompts to angles, lighting, and pacing, to highlight your best features and create images that feel natural and confident.

If there are specific concerns you’d like to share ahead of time, they can be discussed during planning so the session can be approached in a way that feels comfortable and supportive. The goal is never to force confidence, but to create an environment where it can settle in naturally.

Can I incorporate props like an instrument, a car, balloons, or confetti?

Absolutely. Senior sessions are meant to reflect what you love and how you want to mark this milestone, and props are a great way to do that.

Whether it’s an instrument, a vehicle, celebratory elements, or something entirely personal, these details are welcomed and encouraged. Bringing them up during planning allows everything to be incorporated intentionally, so the session flows smoothly, and the final images feel cohesive.

Any location guidelines or logistics are simply handled as part of the planning process.

Where do senior sessions take place?

Senior sessions can take place at a meaningful personal location, a location suggested based on your vision, or in a studio setting. During planning, we’ll talk through what matters to you, and locations will be chosen accordingly.

Can parents attend the senior session?

Parents are welcome to attend senior sessions. That said, many seniors are more relaxed and confident when they’re able to focus independently, without an audience.

In general, sessions tend to flow best with a minimal number of additional guests. This helps keep the experience comfortable, efficient, and centered on the senior.

What happens if it rains or the weather doesn't cooperate?

Weather is monitored closely leading up to the session. If conditions aren’t ideal, options will be discussed to ensure the session experience and final images aren’t compromised.

How are images delivered?

You will select your images at your ordering appointment and purchased images will be delivered through a private online gallery 2-3 weeks after the ordering appointment.

Can I print my photos anywhere?

Yes. You’re welcome to print your purchased images wherever you’d like.

Professional printing options are available directly through your gallery and are recommended for the best color accuracy, paper quality, and longevity. Artwork ordered through the gallery is produced using professional labs and archival materials and calibrated labs, which helps ensure the images look as intended.
