From the detailed planning that happens before your session to helping you select artwork for your home afterward, the entire experience is designed to feel seamless and fully supported. Styling guidance, access to the client closet, and a personalized ordering appointment all work together to create images that feel beautiful, intentional, and lasting.

Moms searching for an Atlanta family photographer often want more than beautiful images alone. They want an experience that feels supported from beginning to end, along with artwork that becomes part of their home and family history. Rather than leaving you with a gallery of images and no clear next step, you’ll receive guidance through each step of the process, including selecting favorite images and turning them into framed artwork or keepsakes designed to be enjoyed every day.

Planning your Session

After booking, you’ll receive a detailed prep guide, a short planning questionnaire, and complimentary access to the Client Closet for women and girls. We’ll also schedule a relaxed consultation in your home to design a session for your family that feels thoughtful, personalized, and beautifully cohesive.

We’ll discuss the images you’re most hoping for, locations, wardrobe, color palettes, and how you may want your finished photographs displayed in your home, so the session is created with the final result in mind from the very beginning.

Photographing Your Family Session

Session day is designed to feel relaxed, organized, and enjoyable from beginning to end. With gentle direction throughout the session, you’ll never be left wondering what to do while still having space for natural interaction and genuine connection to unfold.

The result is a balance of polished portraiture and authentic moments, creating images that feel warm and refined.

Selecting Your Artwork

After the session, we’ll meet for a personalized ordering appointment where you’ll view your images and select the artwork and photographs that best fit your home and family.

Rather than navigating dozens of decisions alone, you’ll receive guidance in choosing favorite images, wall art, framed pieces, and keepsakes designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

The final result is more than a digital gallery. It’s artwork thoughtfully created to become part of your home and your family’s story.

What does it cost?

Family sessions are reserved with a $300 session fee, which secures your date and includes the planning and design process leading up to your session.

Artwork and images are purchased separately during your personalized ordering appointment after the session.

Most families choose to invest around $2400+ in custom artwork and photographs for their home.

Personal styling for the whole family!

One of the most common questions families ask is what to wear for photos. Styling support is built into your experience, so you never have to figure it out on your own. Along with a detailed What to Wear Guide included in your Client Experience Prep Guide, you’ll also receive complimentary access to the Client Closet.

The Client Closet includes a curated selection of dresses, tops, and skirts for women and girls, with inclusive sizing from newborn through adult, including maternity and plus sizes. While the closet does not currently include pieces for men, styling guidance is provided for the entire family. This may include coordinating existing items from your own wardrobe or sharing specific recommendations and links to the perfect pieces to help everything come together seamlessly.

Atlanta Family Photo Session FAQ

What does a family photo session cost?

Family sessions are reserved with a $300 session fee, which includes planning support, access to the Client Closet, and a beautifully guided experience for your family. Artwork and photographs are purchased separately during your personalized ordering appointment after the session, where you’ll select the images and pieces that best fit your home and family.
Image collections begin at $1,000, and most families invest around $1,600 or more for their session and images. Every collection includes a print credit, making it easy to turn your favorite moments into lasting keepsakes.

What do I wear?

Once your session is booked, you’ll receive a beautifully detailed Client Experience Guide filled with seasonal styling tips and outfit inspiration. Still unsure? You’re always welcome to send over outfit photos, and I’ll happily help you pull everything together with ease and intention.

All sessions include complimentary access to the Client Closet for women and girls, along with full family styling support. From color palettes to coordinating pieces, every detail is thoughtfully considered so your images feel cohesive, polished, and timeless.

What if it rains?

Weather can be unpredictable, but you don’t need to worry. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session and reach out if it looks like we’ll need to reschedule. If that happens, we’ll find a new date that works for your family—no stress, no hassle.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely—pets are part of the family, too! I love including furry companions in sessions whenever possible. Some locations are more pet-friendly than others, so just let me know if you’d like to bring your dog, and we’ll choose a spot that works beautifully for everyone.

What if the kids don't cooperate?

You’re not alone; plenty of kids show up a little unsure or uninterested, and that’s completely okay. With a calm, patient approach and a few kid-friendly tricks, we’ll ease into the session in a way that feels natural and low-pressure for everyone.

If you have specific concerns or things I should know ahead of time, let’s chat. We’ll work together to make sure your child feels seen, supported, and comfortable, so those genuine smiles come through naturally.

What are some good locations for family photos?

There are so many beautiful spots to choose from, and I have a curated list of favorites to help guide the way. During your planning consultation, we’ll talk about your family’s style and preferences, then I’ll suggest locations that complement your vision and feel natural for you.

Whether you’re drawn to open fields, wooded trails, or spots with sentimental meaning, we’ll find the perfect backdrop to highlight your connection.

How many images will I get?

During your ordering appointment, you’ll view a culled and curated selection of the best unedited images from your session and choose which of those images you love the most. I'll be there to expertly guide you as you select the best images for your family to turn into lasting artwork.

The final number of images you purchase is entirely up to you. Some families choose a few favorite pieces for their home, while others fall in love with a larger collection of images and artwork.

When is the best time to get family photos?

Truly, any time of year. Each season offers something special, whether it’s soft spring blooms, golden summer light, cozy fall colors, or a crisp winter vibe.

Spring and fall tend to book up quickly, so if you have a specific timeframe in mind, it’s best to reach out early to reserve your date.

How many people can be included in my family session?

Family sessions are designed primarily for immediate families, and there is no limit when it comes to your immediate family. But grandparents are always welcome to join as part of your nuclear family session, and I encourage you to include them if at all possible. Pets are welcome too!

For larger gatherings involving multiple households or extended family groups, a special Extended Family Session is recommended to allow time for the additional coordination, groupings, and planning involved. See the Extended Family Session section above on this page for more information.

Do you do large groups of multiple families?

Yes. Big families hold a special place in my heart, and it’s always a joy to capture the energy and connection of multiple generations together. Extended Family Sessions are thoughtfully designed to accommodate larger groups and can be tailored to fit your family's specific needs. You can find details for Extended Family Sessions through a link on this page.

I still have questions.

Of course! If there’s something you’re wondering about, just send a message. I’m always happy to help.
